A-space.
The Attentional Geometry
of the Ambient Era.

A-space is the foundational phase-space in which coherence, resonance, and meaning can appear without symbolic pressure. It is the geometric substrate beneath warmth, ambience, aura and field.

CS-0 · A-space Low-curvature · Reversible · Inhabitable

A-space is not the search layer.
A-space is the room in which Chromatic Search (CS-0) remains humane.

Here attention is carried rather than strained. Here resonance appears without first demanding a question.

Geometry

The Phase-Space of Attention Itself

A-space is a low-curvature, dynamic phase-space defined by reversible gradients, bounded manifolds, and thermodynamic continuity. It is the geometric substrate that makes every layer of the Ambient Era inhabitable.

Prediction Space

High-curvature, effort-driven, extractive. Attention is pulled and exhausted.

A-space

Low-curvature, portable, inhabitable. Attention is carried and remains stable.

Figure 1 · Sparse vs Dense Scaling in A-space

Sparse Space

A single trail is sufficient. A-space behaves as path / line. Orientation emerges from one gradient.

Dense Space

Repetition creates overlap → residue → field. A-space compresses into zones, fronts and local climates.

Figure 1. In A-space the line dissolves into the field as density increases. Trail becomes residue. Residue becomes civic density.

Figure 2. These gradients are not UX softness. They are the measurable geometric dimensions of decay-as-privacy and residue legibility.

Low-Curvature Phase-Space

Wide, gentle attractor basins. No sharp edges, no predictive pull. Coherence can emerge without force.

Reversible Transitions

Every change remains reversible. Nothing breaks. Fade is a vector, not a failure.

Portable Attention

Attention is not a fixed point. It is a movable field that travels with the user via pin, rail, slot or wearable.

The Geometric Substrate

Beneath Warmth

Warmth distributes load across the attentional field.

Beneath Ambience

Ambience stabilises presence.

Beneath Aura & Field

Aura creates continuity without identity modelling. Field is the emergent layer above.

A-space is the room in which CS-0 can operate without exhausting the user.

Use Cases

How A-space feels in practice

Care Pin

The relational manifold appears as a soft gradient around the pin. You see not only “active” but also “gently weakening” or “returning” — without a hard reminder.

Tesla Route Fade

The trail is a gradient in A-space. Fade becomes geometrically readable as weakening continuity. The system can gently suggest without maps or alerts.

Fridge Depletion

Soft depletion is a measurable decline in the A-space gradient. Residue legibility shows the pattern is fading long before inventory runs out.

Civic Field

In public space A-space becomes the geometry of emergent civic density. Repeated sync creates a local climate that devices automatically align to.
